He kept saying he wants more green onion. Well, we delivered after the 3rd time. This is like….6oz of soup and enough green onion to knock a vampire into the shadow realm.

(I know the soups split like a motherfucker, i didnt make it and the KM says to serve it anyway against my protests)

…why wouldn’t y’all just bring out more green onions for them to add?

I’m a server in addition to boh, and the servers love here should have 100% just been to ask for a ramekin of green onions to bring them . At this point it’s a condiment.

I’m going to go dorky on this but onions are not something vampires hate… that’s garlic

  3. BastilleStareater

Still looking a bit stingy with the onion to me..

Stir a little cream in. It will bring it back together.

Update: HE SAID THIS WAS PERFECT AND CLEANED THE DAMN DISH

The garlic vulnerability was a ploy by vampires, they just like us with some more flavour and seasoning.

The split soup is a minute point depending on the type of dining if it’s not a fancy place no one’s gonna care especially the guests as long as it dosent look like a inch of oil ontop

Remember at these places that serve the everyday man and his family type places that part of the allure is that its homey

Why not just give him a little plate of green onions? Why keep bringing the soup back into the kitchen lmao

  9. seppukucoconuts

You should have just run out into the dining room and bitch slapped the custom with a handful of green onions. Props for a witty one liner afterwards

Why not just send more out to the customer instead of taking the entire dish back multiple times? It’s not like these are cooked into the dish.

Sometimes y’all be doing too much to please others. As a cook when I get a request for extra anything I send it out in a separate cup. I’m not about to have my foh go through that stress with a customer and then have to come back and request a refire just because someone clown feels like they didn’t get the extras they are paying for.

As a green onion slut myself having to ask 3 times to get this amount of green onions is absurd. He said extra once. After he sent it back the first time, you should have covered it or just sent a little bowl of green onions. I love green onions so much and restaurants act like they arent the cheap as balls.

as an onion lover that does look spectacular ngl. however I would never have the courage to keep asking a server for more green onions even as much as I wanted to. Maybe asking for a side would be cool but fully sending back a soup THREE times? I used to be a server not a line cook so if it was during rush hour I can’t imagine how bothersome that may be. But again at the customer said it was perfect and cleared the bowl so I guess everybody wins! I’m assuming he was yearning for a crunch in the soup

I’d never ask a restaurant to do this for me, but I once had an entire bunch of green onions on their last legs, and I threw them all into a bowl of shin ramyun and it was fucking amazing. It was definitely more onion than noodle, but oh my god something about it was just so good.

If you look closely you can actually see some soup

I wish I had phots of it still – we had one guy who would always come in on a Saturday and order an omelette with parsley… like a lot of parsley.. every time we’d add more, he’d eat it but tell us to use more next time.

We decided to see just how far this guy was willing to go. We made this thing more parsley than egg (our serve was three eggs per omelette). It was green with some yellow streaks. Bro downed the whole thing and came past the kitchen and goes “Thanks guys that was lovely!” We just made it like that for him from then on. Some people are just built different.

You are obviously not a good vampire killer.

It looks oily but not broken. When I go to taco joints I ask for an obscene amount of cilantro. I’m always disappointed

  18. Palanki96

That’s not a lot of soup there

And not a lot of green onions. Terribly cut tho

I would’ve been pretty sad if i only got that much after asking 3 times. But my anxiety would never let me ask even once so whatever

  19. Sometimes you want every bite seasoned. For example with pho i constantly add siracha, hoison, chillie paste, chillies, the green herbs, bean sprouts and it varies depending on the bite, spicy, sweet, herbal, normal. And having all the condiments table side is key.

It easier just to bring out the condiment tray when serving soup, fries, chili, rice etc

Its like salt and pepper but some ppl have a wider range of taste for thier pallette. Like instead of just salt on fries, herb n garlic plus spice like seasoned fries.

Also when eating any meat, onions really bring out the savoriness of meat.

When I eat biryani, a pakistani rice dish with meat, commonly chicken, ill go thru half a plate of a tomato onion dressed in plain vinegar salad, forget the name for it. It might seem excessive but it really brings out the flavor of meat and the rice cooked in that meat. Savoriness umami with every bite. So i imagine it might be something similar for this guy with chicken soup.
